The W&J Hockey program is proud to announce
the addition of World-renowned Goaltending Coach Sean Moloney to the
Coaching staff. Coach Moloney comes to W&J after spending the 2010-11 season
at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). Prior to his time at IUP,
he spent 5 very successful years at Robert Morris, during which 2 of his
goaltenders were invited to join RMU's NCAA team. Moloney coached RMU
goaltender Jonathan Hoffmann to 2007-08 ACHA All-American honours.
Originally from St. Catharines, Ontario Coach Moloney has been developing
goaltenders throughout the US and more extensively Canada for over 15 years.
His students can currently be found at all levels of Junior, College, and
Professional Hockey in North America and Europe. He is also currently the
director of Building Blocks Goaltending summer goaltending school.
Coach Moloney will join the Presidents' staff on a part-time basis effective when the schedule resumes after the Holiday break. In addition to Coaching the Goaltenders, he will also be heavily involved in recruiting and promotions. "When I first was hired to lead the W&J hockey program, Coach Moloney was one of the first people I thought of. When he became available, it was a no-brainer to bring him on board. His knowledge of the goaltending position is unparalleled in this area. Also, his dedication and love of the game will be a huge asset to the program. We are fortunate to have Coach Moloney, and I personally look forward to working with him in our quest to be a national contender." - Coach Lou Biancaniello The entire program is pleased to welcome a Coach and individual of Coach Moloney's calibre to the W&J Hockey community. "I'm truly grateful to Coach Biancanello for this opportunity." Moloney said. "To have the chance to work with a Coach and Man I respect and admire so highly is a real honor. I'm looking forward to working with him, the rest of the staff, and the players as we build great things for this program and the college." |
