Mario Panucci was twice named an ACHA
Division I All-Star for the Red & Black ('07-08; '08-09). Twice named an
ACHA Division I Academic All-American ('07-08, '08-09). Named to the
CHMA 1st Team in 2008-09.
Ryne Savisky became W&J's all-time
scoring leader in '09-10. He was the 1st W&J player to be named to the
ACHA Division I All-Rookie Team ('06-07). He was named an ACHA Division
I All-Star ('09-10). He was named to the CHMA 2nd Team in 06-07; 08-09.
Bob Rose was named an ACHA Division I
Academic All-American during his senior season for W&J (2006-07). Bob
was named W&J's MVP for the 2006-07 season.

Defenseman Clint Lang was named an ACHA
Division I Academic All-American in 2006-07 and 2007-08. Clint scored
the game winning goal in the 2008 CHMA Finals vs. West Virginia
University.
Assistant Captain / Defenseman Dave Bean
was named to the 2006-07 CHMA 1st Team as he amassed 46 points during
his junior season.
Jim Pasquine completed his W&J Hockey
career ranked 4th on W&J's All-Time Scoring List and was a two-time
Unsung Hero Award Winner. Pasquine was named to the CHMA 1st Team in
2009-10.

Forward Dave Crockett was named an ACHA
Division I All-Star and named 2nd Team CHMA Forward for the 2011-12
season. Ranks 2nd All-Time at W&J with 85 goals.
Co-Captain Zach Styffeler was named 2nd
Team CHMA Defense for and Co-MVP for W&J for the 2011-12 season. He was
W&J's 3-time Defensive Player of the Year.
Craig Frey took home the 2008 College
Hockey Mid-America Playoff Tournament MVP Award as W&J defeated West
Virginia University in the Finals.
ANDREW TORCHIA '07
Andrew Torchia was elected to the CHMA
2nd Team for the 2006-07 season. Torchia won 20 games in the 06-07
season for the Red & Black.

Washington & Jefferson
began its hockey program 13 years ago as a member of the WPCHA. W&J then
became a
member
of the ECHL in 2001, ACHA Independent member in 2005, and in 2006 joined
the
College Hockey Mid-America
(CHMA) of the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA).
Washington
& Jefferson is looking for student athletes who want to participate in
our exciting and rapidly growing ice hockey program. W&J is focused to
establish an even more successful program in the very near future.
The program recently hired new head
coach Lou Biancaniello,assistant coach Brian Pajak,
goaltending coach Sean Maloney, general manager Jessica Cooper
and are looking to lead the team to the CHMA
playoffs and the ACHA DI National Tournament.
The
Presidents have established one of the most competitive schedules at the
ACHA DI level and play against the likes of Penn State, Ohio, Rhode
Island, Liberty, Oakland, Duquesne, West Virginia, Robert Morris
University, Robert Morris College, Adrian College, & Delaware to name a
few.
Washington &
Jefferson College Ice Hockey has appeared in 3 ACHA Division I National
Tournaments (2004,2005,2007).
Washington & Jefferson
has been one of the most consistent hockey clubs in the ACHA in recent
years. The Presidents have a winning tradition as they won the 2000-01
WPCHA Championship, the 2006-2007 College Hockey Mid-America Regular
Season Title, and the 2007-2008 College Hockey Mid-America Championship.
The Presidents have had
several alumni who have represented the college well with high honors.
Forwards Mario Panucci (2008, 2009), Ryne Savisky (2010), and Dave
Crockett (2011)were each selected to represent the program at the
inaugural ACHA Division I All-Star Game.
A program with a great
tradition, former players have graduated to succeed in such professional
areas as: accounting, business, political science, chemistry, business
administration, amongst several other fields of study.
THE ICEOPLEX AT SOUTHPOINTE &
THE COLLEGE HOCKEY MID-AMERICA
W&J plays
all of its home games at the
Iceoplex at Southpointe,
which is also the practice facility of the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Iceoplex seats a capacity of 1,200 and has dimensions of 200 X 85. The Iceoplex
is just 10 minutes away from Washington & Jefferson's
campus and offers a complete arena with extra-curricular facilities.
The
team provides 5 ice-times each week (3 practices
and 2 games) along with its own locker room facility at the Iceoplex at
Southpointe for a
championship-caliber hockey club. W&J also schedules Wednesday night
College Hockey Mid-America league games.
In 2006-2007, Washington & Jefferson became a member of
College Hockey Mid-America (CHMA).
The league is comprised of: Washington & Jefferson College, Duquesne
University, Indiana University of PA, John Carroll University,
University of Pittsburgh, Slippery Rock University, West Virginia
University, & Youngstown State University. For the 2012-13
season, College Hockey Mid-America will welcome new members Mercyhurst
College and Robert Morris University to the league.
In 2006-2007, the Presidents
won the College Hockey Mid-America Regular Season Title and won the 2007-2008 CHMA
Playoff Tournament Championship
at the Ice Zone in Youngstown, Ohio. Washington & Jefferson qualified for four consecutive CHMA playoff berths spanning
from 2006-2010.
