(2007-2008 HIGHLIGHTS)
One of W&J's Iron Men defensemen, Guthrie played in 135 career games for the
Presidents. Guthrie was an integral part in the Presidents' run to the 2008
College Hockey Mid-America Championship. A staple on defense, Guthrie
chipped in offensively as well during his senior season. Guthrie scored a
career high 9 goals while dishing out 17 assists for a total of 26 points.
Guthrie's 211 career penalty minutes ranks 2nd All-Time at Washington &
Jefferson College (KC Hahey - 324). Guthrie's great play on the power play
was critical all season long for the Presidents. This was none-more-evident
than when Guthrie scored two power play goals in the College Hockey
Mid-America Semi-Finals vs. Duquesne in a 7-5 win at the Ice Zone in
Boardman, OH (2.23.08).
(2006-2007 HIGHLIGHTS)
Guthrie stepped into a starting defenseman role and also logged important
minutes on the team's power play unit. Guthrie more than doubled his
offensive numbers with 7 goals, 19 assists, for a 26 point season for the
Presidents. Guthrie also amassed 93 PIMS during the 2006-07 campaign.
(2005-2006 HIGHLIGHTS)
Guthrie played in all of W&J's 35 games, scoring 3 goals and dishing out 6
assists for a 9 point season.
